# Can I add a part number to a product?

**Overview**
Yes, you can add or update a part number for a product in X-DRAW. This ensures your BOM is accurate and helps with proper product identification in proposals and reports.

**Steps** **to** **Add** **a** **Part** **Number** **of** **product**

* Navigate to the **Search & Add Products** page and select the product for which you want to add a part number. Then, copy the selected product to **My Library**.

* Once the product has been copied, click on the **Edit** button to modify the product details.

* After this, a **Product Details** dialog box will open, where you can edit the product information. Locate the **Part Number** field, enter the required part number, and then click on the **Add Product** option. The part number details will be saved successfully.
